Maria Kennedy 

Maria Kennedy is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in the Kansas City and Topeka area. She began her training at Barbara’s Conservatory of Dance in Topeka and then went on to obtain her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Here she had the opportunity to work with professors: Dee Anna Hiett, Gary Abbott, Ronn Tice, Tempe Ostrogen, Karen Brown, Michael Blake, and Caroline Dahm. Maria has also enjoyed performing  in musical theater settings and has performed most recently as “Carol Ann Babson” in Levity Players Group’s Murder at Madam Conundrum’s, “Odette” in The Theater in the Park’s Anastasia, and as “Graziella” in Topeka Civic Theater’s West Side Story. Maria teaches Modern, Lyrical, Jazz, and Broadway Jazz in her hometown at Barbara’s Conservatory of Dance (Topeka). She is thrilled to be joining City in Motion dance for her first season!
