ARTISTIC CO-DIRECTOR
BOBBI FOUDREE
Bobbi Foudree started her dance training at the age of 16 with Kim Shope at Midtown School of Dance. She then went on to pursue her B.F.A. in dance from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Ms. Foudree spent her summers training at Nashville Ballet and School of Ballet Chicago. After Graduating from Stephens, Ms. Foudree moved to New Hampshire where she danced for two seasons with Jennie and Company and as an apprentice in Northern Ballet Theater. Missing the Midwest Ms. Foudree returned to Kansas City where she has danced and choreographed with a variety of companies including Kacico dance, Reach...a movement collective Inc., Aha! Dance Theater, 940 dance Company, and The Smith Project. 2022 marked her 6th season dancing & choreographing for City In Motion Dance Theater. In 2023, she became Artistic Co-Director.


ARTISTIC CO-DIRECTOR & YOUTH DANCE THEATER DIRECTOR
ANN SHAUGHNESSY
Ann started her dance training at local Kansas City studios learning from amazing teachers including Donna Des Marteau, Beckie Lucas, Liz Dimmel, and Tobin James. She received a BFA from UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance with a focus in Modern in 2002, and was privileged to study under Paula Weber, Mary Pat Henry, DeeAnna Hiett, and Catherine Plavcan. During college her choreography was featured in performances by the Opera department, the UMKC Kids Club, and for a collaboration with art and music composition majors. Ann supplemented her dance training at The Ailey School, Peridance Center, and various dance intensives. She auditioned for City in Motion Dance Theater in 2004 and has been involved with the organization ever since as a company dancer, teacher, choreographer, Production Director for Dance in the Park, and most recently as an Artistic Co-director. Ann has performed around the Kansas City area for several years with various companies including Dramatic Truth, Aha! Dance Theater, Reach…A Movement Collective, Gurukul Dance Company, The KC Swingsters, and Kansas City Contemporary Dance. Ann also works part time as a Physical Therapist for Prairie Health Group, as an instructor for Vitality in Motion (bringing chair ballet and exercise to area senior living facilities) and as an aerial teacher and performer for Voler: Thieves of Flight.
