24th Dance in the Park

City in Motion Dance Theater, Inc. is proud to announce the 24th annual Dance in the Park!  The concert will be presented on Saturday evening, September 9, 2023 in the tranquil setting of Roanoke Park in mid-town Kansas City, just off Karnes Blvd & Roanoke Rd.

This FREE show kicks off at 6:30 with a free Hula Hoop class for everyBODY.  Main show begins at 7 p.m. emceed by Darron Story. Dance groups include City in Motion Dance Theater, KC Contemporary Dance, Fire Hoop, West African, West Indian, and more!

Bring a blanket, picnic, lawns chairs and the whole family!  Dance in the Park annually thrills crowds of 1,000+ audience members. This annual performance is a chance for the Roanoke neighborhood and visitors from the metropolitan region to experience an exciting performance of Kansas City’s unique dance companies and a sense of community.   Dance in the Park is produced by City in Motion Dance Theater in partnership with the Coleman Highlands, Roanoke, Volker & West Plaza neighborhoods. We rely solely on the support of businesses, donations and grants to produce Dance in the Park. Your sponsorship, program advertisement, donations and/or volunteer hours will be a clear signal that you care about our community and want to be actively involved in it!
